Case Study: Brightstar Care Hires 27,000 Employees Through Partnership with Hireology

The home health care industry is projected to see a shortage of 150,000 paid care workers by 2030, meaning home health care businesses need to be more strategic than ever when it comes to attracting and hiring top talent.

In today’s competitive hiring market, Brightstar Care, one of the nation’s leading home health care providers, understands the importance of an effective recruitment marketing and hiring strategy. To overcome key hiring challenges, in 2015, Brightstar Care corporate selected Hireology as the preferred hiring partner for its 200+ locations nationwide.

Brightstar Care started working with Hireology with the goal of implementing a uniform hiring process, ensuring consistency and compliance across all locations. Prior to partnering with Hireology, many Brightstar Care locations ran their own hiring processes – or didn’t have a process at all – and spent too much time on administrative hiring tasks, such as writing job descriptions and manually reviewing all job applicants.

Hireology has been implemented successfully across 224 Brightstar Care locations, with a goal of reaching 100 percent of the brand’s locations by the end of 2019. Through Hireology’s applicant tracking system, Brightstar Care has streamlined its candidate screening and hiring process as a whole. Hireology has helped the brand develop a strong employment brand and has also built custom career sites for several Brightstar Care locations.

Beyond implementing an efficient hiring process and focusing on an improved employment brand, Brightstar Care was among the first Hireology customers to leverage Applicant Engine – our programmatic sourcing tool that searches across job boards, niche employment networks, and local publications to connect with applicants at scale. In a recent effort with several Brightstar locations, Applicant Engine delivered 403 applicants – and 36% of these have been seen by the hiring manager as “quality applicants.” This means the applicant was qualified enough to make it to the interview round – significantly outperforming the quality rates of organic and paid job boards.

We recently pulled together a case study featuring several key results Brightstar Care has seen working with Hireology. These include:
