Mobile App FAQ
Can I communicate with other team members within the app?
With our latest release, there are now several ways to stay in touch with team members while on-the-go. You can now share a PDF of applicant resumes with other team members through a variety of communication apps already downloaded on your mobile device, including email, iMessage, and Slack.
You can also now use the @ symbol to tag other team members in the comment section on applicant and candidate profiles within the app, allowing you stay up-to-date on your internal communications while on-the-go.
Can I set up mobile push notifications?
Yes! Upon signing into the app, you can now enable notifications for ‘new applicants’ and ‘inbox notifications’ that will guide you back to the app when something requires your attention, helping you prioritize work and move fast.
Can I send pre-screen surveys within the app?
With our February 2022 update, we made it possible to send pre-screen surveys within the app. This allows you to kickstart the hiring process for great applicants even faster.
Can you personalize new email templates?
Currently, you can customize the individual messages, but not the templates. This feature will also be part of the expanded candidate communications.
I use the Hireology web experience on my phone. Why would I use the app if I can’t do everything I can on desktop?
We are so glad that the mobile optimized web application is working for you! Since the initial launch of the app we’ve made several enhancements to provide even more features on-the-go. Using the app you can now review new applicants, share resumes with colleagues, star top applicants, send pre-screen surveys, and communicate using @mentions — all within the app.
Can you add a disposition code to candidates who are rejected?
Yes! If your organization utilizes disposition codes they will be available in mobile like they are in the desktop application.
When you call the applicant from your app, which phone number will show up — the recruiter’s cell number or the company number?
Placing a phone call utilizes your device’s native functionality, so your personal number would be displayed for the applicant. If you communicate with the applicant via SMS in the app, your personal number will not be displayed for the applicant.
Has candidate search been included in the mobile app yet?
Yes, candidate search within the app is now possible!
Can you only view jobs that have you listed as hiring manager?
You do not have to be the hiring manager to review jobs, but you do need to be part of the hiring team in order to view applicants. Users that are admins will still need to be added to the hiring team to review applicants via the mobile app.
Does the “Advance” button move the applicant to candidate?
Yes! Clicking “advance” moves the applicant to candidate.
I have candidates who I reviewed on the desktop site, but kept in the “Applicant” section and see that these candidates are still listed on the app as needing review… Is there a way to change this so that it will only show me the new applicants?
Currently, they will still be shown on the mobile app.
When I click on an applicant to “Advance,” it picks the in-person interview email automatically. How do we change that so it picks the phone screen email first?
Currently, you can customize the individual messages, but not the templates. This feature will also be part of the expanded candidate communications in an upcoming mobile update.
Can I access Inbox on the mobile app?
Yes! Last summer we added the ability to access Inbox within the mobile app. As a refresher, with Inbox, you can view all of your SMS and email communications with both candidates and applicants from a single message center. And clicking on any message in Inbox takes you directly to the location within the platform where you can see the thread and continue the conversation.
Can we view the history of each candidate?
The email and SMS history is available for applicants in the mobile app today.
