Hireology Employee Spotlight: Johnny Bartlett

This post is the first in our new series of Hireology employee spotlights. Stay tuned to learn more about a day in the life as a Hireologist!
Name: Johnny Bartlett
Team: Business Operations
Role: Salesforce Administrator
Johnny Bartlett started with Hireology as his first job out of college and has contributed to many teams across the company in several different roles. Read on to learn more about Johnny and his experience with Hireology.
Johnny, can you share some background about what you’re working on?
Right now, my primary focus is revamping our Salesforce page layouts for the members of our Sales and Customer Success teams. The pages are in a messy state so the ultimate goal is to help them sing a better song while users are logged into their Salesforce profiles.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
In 8th grade I was featured in the Chicago Tribune because I won a swing dance competition at my junior high school. Yep.
What path did you take to get to where you are today?
Hireology has been my first and only company since I graduated from college in 2015. That summer, I started out as a Business Development Representative making cold calls for our Automotive team. The following winter I then shimmied over to our Customer Care team and starting working with our clients directly regarding any inquiries or difficulties that they had with their account. In the fall of 2017 I then transitioned to my current role as Salesforce Administrator on our Business Operations team.
How would you describe Hireology’s culture?
Everyone is weird and it’s awesome. There are people from all walks of life who bring so much to the table, both professionally and personally. Hireology encourages you to be who you are and promotes an environment where judgement is checked at the door.
I’ve had an ant farm at my desk before and fostered butterflies last summer and no one batted an eye.

What will you be doing when you next utilize Hireology’s unlimited PTO policy?

This month, I’ll be doing a bit of a Euro Trip. It’ll start out in London and Amsterdam with some friends and then I’ll split and head over to Paris and then head south to the French Alps.  While there, I will be doing the Tour du Mont Blanc. The TMB is a hundred mile trek around Mont Blanc that starts in France, goes into and Italy and Switzerland, and ends back in France.
