Publication’s Inaugural Company Culture Award Recognizes Hireology for Leading Workplace Practices

Hireology – the leading provider of employee selection management technology – was named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 75 companies in the nation with outstanding workplace engagement. Ranking No. 22 in the midsize companies category of the publication’s inaugural Top Company Culture List, the company was recognized for creating an exceptional workplace environment that drives employee engagement, exceeds employee expectations and directly impacts company success.

“At Hireology, our goal is to help business owners build successful companies through smarter hiring and building better teams. People and culture sit at the core of everything we do at Hireology, both as an employer and as a solution provider. Receiving this award is a tremendous validation for the company we’ve built and the vision for our award-winning platform,” said Adam Robinson, cofounder and CEO of Hireology, which has been experiencing a period of hyper growth over the past year. “The team we’ve built at Hireology is the number one key to our success – keeping our employees happy and motivated has been essential our continued expansion and the success of our customers.”

Employees at participating companies answered questions that were used to assess a company’s strength across 10 core qualities of culture, such as performance focus, support and innovation, among others. These quality strength scores were combined with the employee Net Promoter Score to create a cumulative CultureIQ Score. The companies with the highest CultureIQ Scores became the Top Company Culture list in ranking order.

“Creating an entrepreneurial culture is a key priority for business leaders, yet no one until now has really assessed the role culture plays in success,” says Ray Hennessey, editorial director of Entrepreneur.com. “This ranking celebrates the dedication that all teams, from entry-level to the C-suite, have in ensuring they are creating vibrant, healthy and sustainable work environments. That’s good for employees, investors and customers.”

The full list presents a total of 75 companies categorized as small, medium or large enterprises—25-49 employees, 50-99 employees and more than 100 employees. Core insights, behaviors and attributes that have helped to shape the high-performing cultures presented by the top companies were shared in the list alongside practices to help other companies work on their own workplace environments.

In addition to its inclusion in Entrepreneur’s Top Company Cultures list, Hireology was recognized in 2015 in the Crain’s Chicagolist of Best Places to Work and as the number one talent management technology by HRO Today. A key attribute benefiting the company is its diverse and inclusive leadership and engineering teams, which are comprised of 50 percent women – far above the national average 28 percent of women in STEM industries nationwide.
