It’s an exciting time here at Hireology as today we announce our Series C financing, led by Chicago-based Baird Venture Partners. Joining Baird are existing investors Bain Capital Ventures and Lightbank.  We’re extremely grateful to be working with some of the best HR Tech investors on the planet. When Jeff, Michael and I started this company six years ago, it was because our experience as entrepreneurs had taught us two lessons:  one, that most business owners really struggle with the people side of their business, and two, that the HR tech industry had not quite cracked the code on addressing this massive need.

Our vision for the company was straightforward and very personal: empower business owners to succeed by helping them build their best possible team.  We’d been there, and we’d made the hiring mistakes.  We knew there had to be a better way.

Six years later, we’re incredibly humbled that over 3,000 businesses currently use Hireology’s platform to source, screen and hire their teams.  And while the allure of the ‘enterprise’ market is a powerful one, we’ve remained steadfast in our focus on delivering value to the entrepreneur: the family-owned automotive group; the franchisee; the local service provider; the main street retailer-men and women who risk their personal capital every day to compete in some of the toughest markets that exist.

At Hireology, we believe that a company’s people are the only true source of sustainable competitive advantage, and know that when we help our customers hire their best team, we’re helping them to win.  When our customers win, their families, their employees’ families and their communities all win, too.  It’s a privilege to serve our customers and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for their business.  Without paying customers, it’s all just theory.

Words can’t capture how proud I am of our amazing team, and it’s because of them that we’re here celebrating this milestone. You are the best team of people with whom I’ve ever worked, and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to lead you all on this journey.  This is your company.

And while it’s nice to celebrate this moment, we recognize that we still have so much to learn and do in order to reach our full potential. So, onward.

Here’s to our shared success!
