The New Applicant Economy: Connecting with Applicants in Today’s Challenging Climate – Adam Robinson

This year, healthcare agencies have never felt more pressure to provide quality care — and the demand for skilled healthcare professionals has never been greater. With health and safety challenges, along with the economic downturn related to COVID-19, traditional recruitment methods are simply not working to meet the demand of today’s agencies.
In our keynote presentation, we learned about new ways to attract healthcare applicants, get a process in place to manage an influx of candidate activity, and roster the right professionals — all within one unified platform.

Partner Panel Discussion Featuring Tracey Azer, Danielle Balow, Michael McKenna, and Kara Polk

Previously a collection of disconnected steps from siloed systems, forward-thinking providers are incorporating their hiring services into an ecosystem approach, allowing data to flow from system to system. This has dramatically increased hiring efficiencies while saving time and driving a better applicant experience.
In this panel discussion, we heard from several healthcare solution providers across recruitment channels, employee scheduling, skills testing, reference checking, and onboarding to see how agencies can embrace the technologies of the future, today.

The Future of Work: A Blueprint for Attracting Candidates From Other Industries Into Home Care – Aaron Dun

The global COVID-19 pandemic has brought havoc to our economy which has, in turn, impacted the livelihoods of millions of Americans. This moment forces many individuals to reckon with how they will continue to pay their bills and care for their families. With the combination of an accelerating gap in available direct care workers and an unprecedented surge in joblessness, Aaron Dun, SVP of Marketing at CareAcademy, spoke about how home care must work hard to recruit and create an on-ramp into the caregiving profession.
In July, CareAcademy launched the “Future of Work” program which seeks to bring as many as 10,000 new people into the industry. To-date over 2,500 people have signed up for the program, and more than 300 people completed their training and matched with home care agencies in their state. And we are just getting started.
