Name: Nicole Boven
Team: Customer Success – Automotive
Role: Senior Customer Success Manager
Nicole started at Hireology in October 2018 as a customer success manager on the automotive team and was promoted one year later to senior customer success manager. Prior to Hireology, Nicole was a recruiter and campus recruiting manager at Red Frog Events. She started her career with Walt Disney’s College Program as a character performer and guest services.
Nicole, can you tell readers a bit about what you’re working on?
I’m currently helping dealerships build their teams by sharing best practices, developing recruitment strategies, and teaching them how to use our software to streamline their hiring processes.

What path did you take to get where you are today?
That’s a great question! I took a non-traditional path that brought me here. The foundation of my career was built in Guest Services at the Walt Disney Company. After 4 years in Orlando, I graduated college and experienced roles at a talent agency and a Chicago stadium.
I was then introduced to an event production company where I spent almost 7 years. The company was in a hyper-growth stage, which gave me the opportunity to try out all sorts of different roles, including obstacle creation. Not kidding! While I spent the first few years on the event side of things, I found my path leading me to recruitment. As part of the people team, I planned and attended college career fairs, hosted recruiting events, and managed our full-cycle recruiting process. I was responsible for filling roles in event services, web development, food and beverage, design, product, sales, marketing, legal, customer experience, HR, and others.
How has your recruiting background helped in your role?
As a recruiter, I had the opportunity to manage hiring manager expectations throughout the process to ensure the best possible candidate experience. During my time on the people team at my previous company, I developed hiring strategies, defined job requirements, built candidate pipelines, and created innovative approaches to sourcing applicants. This is all knowledge I’ve been able to pass along to my customers at Hireology, in hopes of strengthening their hiring process or developing one if they don’t have a process in place.
What made you join Hireology?
When a company’s list of core values includes pathological optimism and no assholes, one can only hope to join the team. My background is a blend of live entertainment, events, and recruitment. My passion for people, strong company culture, and opportunity for growth brought me to Hireology and I couldn’t me more excited to continue my journey.
What do you find most exciting about working here?
Hireology’s growth and success, the amazing team that I’m so lucky to be a part of every day, and the support of our management and leadership teams. I’m not really good at narrowing it down to one, am I?
Why do you think company culture is important?
Companies with a healthy and strong culture promote positivity, allow folks to be their true selves, and encourage teams/individuals to strive for success. We spend an incredible amount of time at the office and it’s refreshing to come to a place that is dedicated and focused on making this the best possible work environment.

What is your favorite core value and why?
No assholes. This is one of the most supportive, kind, and caring group of individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I joined this team.

Where in the office do you do your best thinking?
I’d say, the Clubhouse (one of our shared workspaces). It’s nice and cozy, especially in the winter season.
How would you define Hireology’s culture?
Inviting, inclusive, and collaborative

What is one thing that people don’t know about you?
I am a fan of classic cars. One day, I hope to own a 1948 Ford F1 pickup.

One of Hireology’s benefits that we offer employees is unlimited vacation. What will you be doing next to utilize this perk?
Aside from spending the holidays with my family, I’m eyeing a Disney cruise next spring.
