To kick off Q2, we have decided to discontinue use of web-based applicant tracking, interview guides, and scoring. While Hireology was founded on the basis that a technology-based approach to hiring was ideal, it has been brought to our attention that our users prefer a tangible, paper-based approach.
Therefore, applications, resumes, SmartRank survey responses, and virtually every other piece of Hireology’s platform will be mailed to our customers in paper form.
The decision to transition was made because many of our customers have said they prefer seeing stacks of resumes grow as more and more people apply. “I prefer being able to sort my candidates into three piles, and then dump them in the garbage can,” said one Hireology user. “Clicking the thumbs-down button on Hireology isn’t nearly as satisfying.”
To assist in providing a seamless transition for our users, Hireology has hired a team of former USPS employees to assist in expedited delivery. Deliveries will be made twice a day, but documents must be signed for by either the company owner or hiring manager.
